My name is
My name is Rebecca and I am twenty-three years old. I am from Michigan, U.S.A. and have studied German for two semesters in college. Although I am not fluent, I would like the opportunity to immerse myself to get a better grasp on the language and the culture. I come from a large family and I am the youngest of five siblings. I have three brothers and a sister. I also have eleven nieces and nephews. I began babysitting regularly at the age of thirteen. I began by babysitting my nieces and nephews and eventually started to babysit for neighbors and family friends.
I enjoy planning fun things to do outdoors with my nieces and nephews. We have planned intricate scavenger hunts, built forts out of sticks, and hiked at our local parks. I think that it is important for children to be able to express their creativity and learn through exploration.
I have experience working with adults with disabilities and mental illness, so I am comfortable working with special needs children. I have been trained in verbal de-escalation techniques and have medical training for emergency situations.
My hobbies include camping, hiking, canoeing, and reading. I like to read all types of books and enjoy being outside in nature. I am comfortable with cooking meals routinely and cleaning regularly. I am also available to run errands and would be willing to drive the children to different destinations. I have had my Driver’s License for seven years in the United States
