My name is
I’m Juliana, I’m 21 years old.
I was raised by a single mother, I have one half brother (11 years old) and one half sister (6 years old).
Gathering experience abroad has been one of my biggest dreams. I’m currently spending sometime in Portugal, working and studying. Merging myself into the English language and different culture is my aim. Even though I consider myself fluent its safe to say that knowledge has no limits, we can always improve and learn more.
As I come from a though background I became a really determined and independent woman. I was raised by a single mother who has no University Degree but had stamina to work enough to give me comfort and opportunities.
I studied Psychology for 2 straight years however as It wasn’t my drive I decided to walk away from psychology (as interesting as this subject is). I’ve always aspired to live abroad, meet new places, new people, learn as much as i could with people’s experiences.
I’m extremely open minded, easy going, a little shy at first. I’ve had multiple experiences working with children and adults from different backgrounds and countries. I’m 100% here to dedicate myself to this experience and learn as much as I can from it.
Since I was 14 Ive made it clear for my family that i was fully committed to moving abroad. My mum always been my number one fan, always supporting my dreams. I’ve always had this deep desire for something bigger than what my city could possibly offer me. A girl from a third world country seeking for a bigger horizon, with deeper connections and opportunities. Right now I have for myself that moving will be a consequence as I intend to pursue Acting. My interest right now is finding a place which will welcome me and open doors. I like to read about Cinema and Acting during my free time, I really enjoy going for strolls around the city, visiting museums, parks and all of that, talking about life and all diverse subjects, I love watching new movies and shows, spending some time with my friends as well even if its through FaceTime.
After being an Au Pair I would like to stick to my goal, keep studying cinema, start building my career step by step.
When I was 7 years old my mum engaged in doing students transport. In Brazil the student transport is not organised by the school but from whoever is willing to do it. My mum started transporting students from different ages and from different schools in a private car. Nowadays she still commits to students transport, happily now she has two mini vans.
Since the beginning I've always helped her with what I could. I was 7 helping her with 2 years old kids. In the past one year I was working with her full time. She would drive and I would entertain, talk and more importantly I'd look out for the kids' safety. My mum always made sure she made it clear for me that I had to care for them as they were my own family. That scenario has been part of my life for years.
I cared for those kids as I would care for my brother and sister. I bear in mind that Au Pairing abroad will be a perfect addition to this experience and to what I desire for myself.
