My name is
Charee – resident in Canada
I am a senior high school student graduating at the end of June 2019. My family and I emigrated to Canada 6 years ago from South Africa. I hold a South African passport and we are in the final stage of being granted our Canadian citizenship. I am entirely bilingual and can speak both English
and Afrikaans (derived from Dutch) fluently. I took French as a compulsory subject in grades 7-9. My immediate family consists of my parents and two sisters. We are a tightly knit
family spending quality time together which includes travelling across North America. I love animals and have a pet dog named Violet. I also enjoy spending time outdoors and love connecting with nature. In my spare time I volunteer at my church’s toddler group where I entertain kids between
the ages of 2 and 4. I’m an avid baker and enjoy baking regularly. Over the course of my school career, I held various leadership roles and have received multiple leadership awards. Becoming an au pair, will enable me to continue my passion of interacting/helping kids. It will also provide me the opportunity to meet new people and gain valuable life experience as I pursue my dream of becoming a child psychologist.
