About Me

My name is Alhena and I’m seventeen years old (will turn 18 in June). I am very excited to start this trip in the AuPair world, I love traveling and getting to know new places and cultures.

I usually practice ballet and fitness, and in my leisure time, I like reading and writing, music, going for walks or exercising.

My mother language is Spanish, yet I have been studying English for fifteen years (C1 advanced level). I likewise studied French at school, but my level is basic.

It’s not the first time that I undertake a trip like this, I did an exchange in Michigan two years ago, and the experience was very rewarding. I’m also experienced in taking care of children and pets. I started with fifteen years old taking care of a child of three, four hours a week for six months. Afterwards I took care of two siblings of eight and eleven years, for a month; and, later on, I looked after two sisters aged five and nine and their dog during three months.

One of my goals is to learn new skills and get to know more out of the world. Besides, I believe that I also have a lot to contribute to foreign countries, such as my culture or my language.

I have high expectations of this trip; if you search correctly and with good communication, I think that I might find the most suitable family, and it will be happy with me as well. The only thing I expect from the family is high communication and the facility to let me know if there were any problem, plus understanding in case I had any.

Aside from that, I’m truly looking forward to starting this new trip with enthusiasm and motivation!

I hope the experience is as fulfilling for me as it is for the host family.

I'm a ballet dancer, and in my leisure time, I like reading and writing, music of nearly all styles, or exercising. Moreover, I like to study and learn new skills, like public speaking or participating in debates. I am a very curious person, I'm not afraid of change and I adapt to different circumstances very easily. At the same time, I'm calm and organized, I consider myself a responsible person. I adore children and nature, besides taking care of plants and pets.
