1- Nationals of the EU (The European Union) and EEA (European Economic Area) can enter the UK without any formalities
2- Members of the commonwealth (i.e Canada, Australia, South Africa...etc) can enter the UK, (maximum 2 years) if they are 17-30 years old inclusive. They will need to obtain a holiday work visa.

4- Nationals of the following countries can enter the UK on an aupair visa (maximum 2 years), if they are 17 - 27 years old inclusive and only need to produce their invitation letter from the family/agency on entry into the UK:
Andorra, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Monaco and San Mario
5- Nationals of the following countries can enter the UK on an aupair visa (maximum 2 years), if they are 17 - 27 years old inclusive and need to obtain the visa prior to travelling to the UK:
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania and Turkey.
6- US citizens cannot come to the UK as a aupair, the only way is to obtain a blue card from

From the 1st May 2004 the following countries will be joining the European Union and so will not longer require an aupair visa.
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia
From the 1st January 2007 Romania and Bulgaria have joined the EU, but their nationals still
need
