The aupair program for the USA is set by the USIA and the following applies to all applicants regardless of which agency they go though:
Requirements of the aupair program are as follows:
To be an aupair in America all applicants must:
- Complete an application and submit to a thorough one-to-one personal interview.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 26 years of age (available to fly to the USA prior to his/her 27th birthday).
- Speak and understand English to an acceptable conversational level.
- Have no criminal record and be able to secure proof of the lack of any criminal history from a recognised authority in the applicant's home country.
- Be in good health and provide a medical report completed by a qualified medical doctor.
- Have at least 200 hours of infant care experience to qualify for placement in a family with children under two years of age.
As one of the program requirements is an interview we are only able to arrange
placements for anyone able to come to the UK or Germany for that interview (we can put you up overnight!).
We have a site dedicated to the
